If you like honey, this is a perfect and fun way to get behind the scenes of honey making and honey tasting. We visit the estate of family Vrdoljak, located in Grabovac village, on Biokovo hills just 30 minutes outside of Makarska. The family has been known for making premium quality Dalmatian honey, propolis and royal jelly for the past 18 years.

We start by visiting the beehives from a secure distance where the host will give us a brief introduction of the ecosystem and its biodiversity. Shortly after that, you will find yourself in a 200 years old stone house, where the host will explain the process of traditional honey harvesting technique and show you how to harvest honey. Yes, you will indeed harvest honey by yourself and even get a personal freshly harvested honey souvenir! After a quick break with homemade honey liqueur you will taste 3 types of Dalmatian honey (flower, sage, forest) paired with 3 types of local cheeses.

Honey and other bee related products are available for purchase. You will not be in any contact with bees while visiting the beehives and harvesting honey. Tour includes a pick up from your hotel / apartment and return, safe and clean air condition equipped vehicle, professional driver and English speaking guide, tasting 3 types of honey and 3 types of cheese, tasting honey liqueur and premium bottled water.
